Manchester City came from one goal down secure a 2-1 win over Brentford, thanks to Erling Haaland's double.

This victory extended Pep Guardiola's team's unbeaten start to the Premier League 2024/25 season.

Haaland was in top form once again, bringing his goal tally to nine in just four matches.

Both teams started aggressively, with chances being created early in the game.

Brentford took a surprising lead in the 1st minute when Yoane Wissa scored, putting the visitors ahead 1-0.

However, Manchester City responded in the 19th minute, with Haaland leveling the score at 1-1 through a brilliant solo effort.

Haaland struck again in the 32nd minute, this time assisted by goalkeeper Ederson, giving City a 2-1 advantage.

The home side carried their lead into halftime, while Brentford continued to show resilience.

The second half saw both teams locked in a tactical battle, but neither could find a breakthrough.

Manchester City defended well, keeping Brentford at bay and blocking their attempts to equalize.

In the end, Manchester City’s 2-1 victory ensured their winning streak continued as they maintained their strong start to the season.
