Erling Haaland Set To Break Cristiano Ronaldo Goal Record

Erling Haaland netted twice against Brentford on Saturday, bringing his total to nine goals in just four Premier League matches for the 2024/25 season.

The forward added his eighth and ninth goals of the season, narrowly missing out on a third straight hat-trick.

Haaland has started the new campaign in dominant fashion and is now on the verge of breaking yet another record.

The prolific Norwegian has now scored 99 goals in 103 appearances since joining City in the summer of 2022.

If he finds the back of the net in his next match, he will break the record for the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a single club.

Cristiano Ronaldo currently holds that record, having scored 100 goals for Real Madrid in just 105 games.

Haaland could surpass Ronaldo’s record when City face Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.

If not, he could match it when Manchester City host Arsenal at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
